The trust of our donors is the foundation of MRE et Généreux's action. That's why we are committed to total transparency regarding the collection, use and allocation of the funds entrusted to us. This page aims to inform you clearly and honestly about how your generosity translates into concrete actions on the ground in Morocco.
MRE et Généreux is a non-profit association, governed by the French Law of July 1, 1901. As such, it has no shareholders, makes no profit and pays no remuneration to its volunteer leaders. All funds collected are dedicated to the realization of its humanitarian mission.
We make the following commitments to each donor:
Funds collected by MRE et Généreux are allocated according to the following priorities:
Purchase of sheep (main activity)
The majority of the funds collected is directly dedicated to the purchase of sheep for beneficiary families in Morocco. Purchases are made locally from Moroccan breeders, which guarantees the quality of the animals, respect for Islamic halal slaughter standards, and support for the local economy.
Logistics and operational costs in Morocco
A limited portion of the funds covers transport, field coordination and distribution costs to beneficiary families. These costs are optimized thanks to the association's local partnerships with trusted actors in Morocco.
Operating costs of the association
The association's administrative costs (bank fees, payment platform fees, communication costs) are kept to the strict minimum in order to maximize the share of funds allocated to humanitarian action.
The selection of beneficiary families is a crucial step that determines the real impact of each donation. MRE et Généreux applies a rigorous and verifiable method to identify the most vulnerable households.
Families are selected on the basis of objective criteria of precariousness, in coordination with local authorities, neighborhood associations and imams present on the ground. The criteria used include, in particular, the household's income level, the presence of young children, the lack of family support for isolated elderly people, and situations of disability without sufficient resources.
No discrimination is made on the basis of tribal, regional or political affiliation. The association's only compass is the level of real need of the identified families.
MRE et Généreux is committed to ensuring complete traceability of the journey of each donation, from its reception to its transformation into concrete action on the ground.
After each campaign, donors receive a report on the distribution, accompanied by photos taken on the ground in Morocco. This feedback is for us a duty towards those who trust us, and not just a formality.
For any additional information request on the use of your donation, you can contact us directly at contact@mreetgenereux.org.
As a 1901 law association, MRE et Généreux is subject to the following legal obligations:
The association's accounts are closed annually and approved by the general meeting of members in accordance with the association's statutes.
In accordance with Article 200 of the French General Tax Code, donations made to associations recognized as being of general interest entitle donors to an income tax reduction equal to 66% of the donation amount, within the limit of 20% of the donor's taxable income.
If you wish to receive a tax receipt for your donation, send your request by email to contact@mreetgenereux.org specifying:
We commit to sending you the tax receipt (Cerfa form No. 11580) as soon as possible.
The members of the association's board — president, treasurer, secretary — carry out their functions on an entirely voluntary basis and receive no remuneration, allowance or benefit in kind from the association. This principle of the gratuitousness of leadership functions is enshrined in the statutes of MRE et Généreux and constitutes one of the conditions of the status of general interest.
We believe that transparency is a dialogue, not a document. If you have questions about the financial management of the association, about the use of your donation or about our actions on the ground, do not hesitate to contact us directly.
